A DAY IN THE LIFE的合辑里，合辑中大牌云集，elbow, magic numbers, bloc party, B&S, gorillaz, razorlight, manic street preachers, damien rice还有coldplay都在辑子中献声，专辑主要是为了帮助战争国家中的孩子们(war child)而作。
由于专辑中只有这首I want none of this提供免费下载，所以其他的还没听过，但相信如此大牌阵容水准绝对上乘，期待剩下的。 感觉rh还是如此唯美、迷幻，这种音乐只属于Yorke和他的radiohead！！ Radiohead - I Want None of This

英伦乐队Oasis将于10月3日发表一首新作品。吉他手Noel Gallagher上星期对音乐杂志NME说，乐队的下一张新专辑可能在2007年发表，甚至会推迟到2010年。乐队已经为一部电影《Goal! The Movie》的电影原声创作了一首新歌《Who Put The Weight Of The World On My Shoulders?》 新歌由Noel创作和演绎，一些听过这首歌的人表示，这首歌听起来和Oasis以前的经典作品非常相似，虽然主要用木吉他弹唱，但是旋律非常动听，有点像94年Oasis那首单曲Whatever。 至于Noel为电影写这首歌的原因，是因为今年初乐队在洛杉矶录制新专辑的时候，导演Danny Cannon曾经拜访过Noel，之后5月乐队完成了一些小型演出，Noel在伦敦录制了这首歌，而制作人是UNKLE。 电影原声中还有另外两首Oasis的作品，一首是新专辑《Don't Believe The Truth》的制作人重新混音的经典歌曲《Morning Glory》，另一首则是《Cast No Shadow》，由UNKLE重新制作。而Oasis的Bside作品《Acquiesce》虽然不会出现在电影原声中，但是将会在电影中出现。 Oasis - Who Put The Weight Of The World On My Shoulders? Elbow是来自曼彻斯特的五人乐队，有人把他们归为britpop委实有点牵强，我觉得应该算是dreampop或者space rock一类，不过最初他们是Chilled Funk / Fusion Funk乐队倒是没有想到，他们因对U2、Jimi Hendrix、Bob Dylan、Red Hot Chili Peppers的音乐喜好而走到了一起。不过他们团运不佳，在被Island、EMI两大主流唱片公司先后“遗弃”后，终于得以进入V2旗下发表了首张LP《Asleep In The Back》，而这花了他们大约十年的时间。主唱Guy Garvey的嗓音低沉而又深情，是真正能打动你的那种。在any day now中，迷离的鼓点之后，Guy 的呓语伴随细碎的吉他蔓延开来，一遍又一遍。red中Guy的吟唱变得深情而温暖，钢琴与小提琴的加入使氛围变得更为深沉幽悒，凄美而又细腻，直击你的心灵深处。
